I got a new motherboard and earlier today I was taking out the old one and putting in the new one with a friend who has a history assembling pcs so I pretty much let him do most of the work as I've never changed a motherboard. (Only part that I haven't changed) Anyways we screwed the motherboard in and were reconnecting all the power cables when my friend said that the cable to power the PSU wouldn't fit in the slot he murmured something about plus/minus that I didn't understand and said that he didn't want to force it in. Then he left and said he might be back later with one of his spare PSU's that might fit. After he left I tried myself to put the cables in not using any force I managed to get them in quite snugly no excessive pushing or anything so that lead me to believe that he just might've got confused or something. I've attatched pics of the end of the cable and of the slot itself and then a pic of the cable in the slot quite dark and flash doesn't help just incase you think it would (camera is quite bad) Big ups to anyone who can help! Just want to know if anyone thinks it'll cause damage if I reconnect everything with the current configuration or if it'll be fine and my friend was wrong.
