Should one combine a dual core AMD a4 X2 4000 2x3,2 ghz und 500 gb sata III with SSD 120 gb to enhance speed for office purposes only? Or would the money spent on the SSD be useless?

It depends on the user. If the person is in and out of different applications all day, the SSD can make a very noticeable difference. I'd like to have one in my work PC. Make sure you've got at least 4GB of RAM too. If I had the choice of going from 2GB to 4GB, OR getting a SSD, I think I'd rather have the RAM (unless the HDD is only 5400RPM); both of course would be great.

No it would definitely make a difference. It sounds like it wouldn't make sense to go with a high end SSD though. I am actually using a used Intel 80GB SSD in my home computer and it is wonderful. For your need, I would think even 60GB would be sufficient combined with that 500GB HDD. The trick is having another drive to transfer everything but windows files and programs off of your 500GB HDD so that the amount of space used on the HDD is small enough to clone it over to the SSD.

Thank you, guys! As 4GB RAM DDR 3 will be installed and I do work frequently with different applications it sounds coolest to use a 60 or 80 GB SSD as Rookie Of The Year proposed and put the OS (WIN7) on it, as Sprinter said.
Iwas a bit wary about paying 90 EUR extra ffor the 120 GB one, so your answest helped a lot -cool platform!
