I bought a Coolermaster CMStorm Quickfire XT with Cherry MX Brown switches when I got my computer back in January 2014. It has been perfect up until last night. Many keys on the keyboard weren't working when I pressed them but still registered after a few key strokes. Finally, today when I got up, many keys just stopped working altogether. (I'm typing this on a generic Dell keyboard) The keys not working are Q,W,E,R,U,I,and O. The fact that they are all in the top row is weird to me and I think it might have something to do with the wiring in the keyboard. PLEASE help, Thanks.

Make sure the corner indicators of your keyboard are tight. Also if the inner infrastructure of the keyboard gets shifted you could be experiencing sedate problem.

- Tighten the following
- Dome-switch
- Scissor-switch
- Buckling Spring

Also since you have a mechanical keyboard the hall effect status could be taking play.

I'd recommend doing what johners said. Also, do you have a laser, bull-up, or stick keyboard?

Make sure each cimprimtic flip turner is fastened safely.
