I recently bought a Corsair 1050W PSU and, for some reason, it did not come with a 4 pin power cord, which I need for my mobo/cpu. I do have a leftover cord from my last build that can connect in the back of this PSU (it was a Zalmon PSU I believe). Are these cords interchangeable like that? Or will I cause serious damage? Thanks in advance.
Can I use modular PSU cables that aren't provided via the manufacturer?

as I understand it... the only standard is the end of the cable that goes into the motherboard/gpus/ etc.
the end that actually plugs into the power supply, the pins can be in any order they decide to put them.

The gpu 8 pin and the mobo 8 pin are very very different. make sure you have the right one for the mobo, else you could kill it, hopefully you haven't powered up else you could have killed the gpu.
