Conserned about CPU/Motherboard

Hello guys, second post but i check this site very often. I have an important question

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA78LM-S2H
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II x4 925 at 2,80 GHz
RAM: 4,00 gb ddr2
Power supply: 600W
Windows 7 64-bit system
1360x720 resolution (using)

Recently, my GPU died and i am thinking to replacing it with a new HD GPU Radeon 7770. I dont know many about motherboards/CPUs but will my Motherboard or even CPU can 'bottlenet' this new GPU?

Also will this GPU will run smooth with my hardware parts?
Thanks in advance :)

  1. Think you'll be fine, if you encounter a bit of bottleneck can OC the CPU
  2. ^ To add to Tradesman: your processor will be bottlenecking the GPU a bit, but you'll still get better performance than what you have now. If you want to upgrade your CPU later, you'll have to upgrade your motherboard as well because all the new AMD processors are AM3+ and your motherboard only supports AM3 standard. Other than that the graphics card will work fine with your setup.
  3. Thanks for your answers, i will buy it then :D
Btw does anyone know how much fps will i have to dota 2 (most interested) or battlefield 3?
  4. For BF3, your rig and the 7770 I'd guess maybe 30 FPS or so, there's a lot that will play into what you actually get
  5. Thanks for your answers :) I recently found out that gtx 650 ti is better than hd radeon 7770 for the same budjet and i am thinking to purchase gtx 650 ti than 7770. Will it be better for my spec and will it work normally as it should to? (bottleneck, enough plugs for motherboard or something?) I am currently in dilemma between these 2 and i want to choose the best for my pc.
    Thanks in advance!

Yes the 650 TI is a much better card and your PSU will be enough to carry it, requires a 6 Pin PCI-E power connector
  8. Thanks a lot for your help :)
  9. Decided to go with EVGA-GeForce-GTX750-Ti-2GB-SuperClocked for a little more bucks :)
i hope it will work normal with my specs
  10. No worries ;)
