aspire one d255, windows 7 professional/rebooting hard drive,resetting password

We bought aspire one d255 off a private seller and he didnt reset password or login. Its running windows7 professional. i need help resetting it or did i get screwed?

you may be able to do a restore factory defaults on the computer, which would wipe all of the information from the system. Right when you boot up the computer, hold hold ALt and press F10, this should take you to the restore factory settings, where you can follow the directions to have your completely refreshed laptop.

If the alt f10 doesn't work, reply, and I can find the correct key combo

Tip: these boot quick key combos can be tricky, so you can hold alt and spam (hit the button constantly) the f10 key button if you don't know precisely when to press it, just don't keep spamming when the correct screen comes up.

since you pm'd me, I returned it with a nifty little website on how to enable system restore. I'll repost here just to help:

It basically says that the reason you only see boot options is because you need to enable system recovery from your bios. Don't worry, it's not as hard as it seems, unless they passworded it...
