Is this micro-stuttering? Screen-tearing? Jittering? What issue am I facing here...

I think that it may be related to the fact that your monitor is...

I've seen stuff like this before, but what I saw was this stuttering when looking down to up. I also believe it's specific to BF4.

Try updating to the 337.50 beta drivers, and see what happens.

I think that it may be related to the fact that your monitor is overclocked. Have you un-overclocked it and tested if it still does that?

1 GPU the stuttering does not occur. I am updating to Beta drivers now and testing. After that I will test with 60hz (stock) on the monitor. I can also test on another 1080 monitor I have.

Thanks for replies I will report back soon.

This can be considered micro-stuttering?

Yeah that is micro-stuttering, but I think it's more pronounced than it usually is. A lot of times micro-stuttering happens in multiple games, but I'm fairly certain this is only with BF4, as I've seen extremely similar examples.

I reduced the refresh rate to 60hz and there is no micro-stuttering (or at least MUCH less where it's hard to tell if it's happening or not). I am wondering if the issue is because of a. the overclock and b. 1440 resolution being utilized together.

I really want to keep the 120hz because for Windows it's amazing - there's no going back but I cannot take this micro-stutter any longer. I have two 4gb 760s SC... there shouldn't be any issues with quality here from what I've researched.

I am going to try this:

Keep the 120hz overclock but reduce the resolution from native 2560x1440 to 1920x1080. It sucks because 1440 for Windows is really great... tons of space on the screen... it practically eliminates the need for a second monitor for me but my rig's purpose really is gaming and the only gaming I do is Battlefield atm.

Would there be any issues downgrading the native resolution like I listed? Will the picture become grainy because 1080 and 27" don't match up perfectly? What other issues might I face if I go down this route?

At this point I may just look into 120hz monitors (stock) at 1920x1080.

There won't be any issues with grainy-ness etc, however I don't know if you will have the same issue if you overclock it at 1080p. As for getting a 120Hz 1080p screen, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313&cm_re=asus_vg248qe-_-24-236-313-_-Product is essentially the gold standard in that category.
