when i am playing games the monitor turns itself off, but the game is still running. Is it an issue with the power supply or gpu. I montior the temperature of ma gpu, and when i am playing games it goes upto 110. any help appreciated
It would be helpfull to know what card you have I assume it's a high powered one for gaming.
Sounds to me like your gpu is overheating and shutting off to prevent damage as 110c is very hot for a card have you got sufficemt airflow on the card? If it is in a small case with wires everywhere it will soon heat up and cut out to save it from permanent damage
I suggest cleaning out the fans on your case tidying up wires to allow better airflow and to maybe think about another case fan or two if you have space of not maybe a case to allow higher airflow.
Without further information not much more advice I can give
Well i dont have a high end gaming pc. my system is 5 years old. I have GTS 250( yea very old). Not liquid cooled. Just one fan and thats it.
Then I suggest. Taking it apart and cleaning it out inside as best you can make sure the PC is unplugged first there's probably a lot of dust and junk in there clogging up ur graphics cards cooling. Your CPU heat sink could probably do with a good clean too.
I've fixed so many people problems at work just giving there PC inside a quick blast from our air compressor drops temps on stuff like the CPU up to 30c your cards heat sink is probably full of dust
The cheap cans of compressed air you can buy are a good investment to give it a quick clean out in those hard to clean areas
