4770K safe temps at load?

I'm running 4770k at 4.5GHz and the volts are 1.175v. I currently have a noctua NH-D14 that is missing the 140mm fan (I got it from a friend for free.)

Temps at idle are around 35 and the load varies, in Crysis 3 I have seen 71c and Tomb Raider only hit 65c. Are my temps too high? Also it's pretty hot here, around 23 celsius outside, so I would imagine it's almost 30c inside....

71C isn't that bad under load you should be good to go. Under 70C is pretty good.Just keep it under 95C

They are pretty good about down-clocking themselves when thermal thresholds are hit. You don't have any fans on your heatsink? You should get at least one on there. Somewhere between 80-85C, it will likely throttle itself down to avoid thermal/heat damage. You should try to avoid this, though.

Thanks, I don't have the clips to hold the fan in place, so which ones would fit the noctua? Also, I can't ask noctua since the invoice is long gone, lol.

That fan is the exact one missing in your cooler.
