I built a new system with windows 8. an Intel series 335 240 GB SSD,and an M5A99FX Asus
Motherboard. Ialso have an Fx 9590 Cpu for what it is worth. I updated Wndows 8 to 8.1. Everthing was fine for a good while. Then My sytem started to boot and stop at the windows logo
Then go Black for 2-3 minutes the restart and boot in to windows normally. I updated the bios to the latest version. That did nothing. I reset the bios defaults. Still the same problem. I have since
reloaded windows. Made sure ahci was enabled. Everything worked for a while. Then the boot problem started again. P.S. When it Hangs if I shut off the computer it will then boot normal when I
restart. The problem only happens on a cold start.

My build:
Cooler master Haf 912 Case
FX9590 Cpu
Asus M5A99Fx Pro R2.0 Motherboad
Intel Series 335 240 GB SSD
LG CD-Rw/DVD-Rw Combo Drive
Team Zues DDR3 2133 Mhz 8GB Memory
Evga Supernova 1300 Watt OSU
Thermaltake Frio Extreme Cpu Cooler

Does the pc run enough to download and run HWInfo - Sensors then post the results? This might help home in on any hardware problems.

The build list seems quite solid. But I've never heard of Team Zeus. Is it 2 x 4GB? You could run Memtest to check the memory - it runs outside windows - boot to a usb with it on it.

Thanks to I7 Baby for the link to the Computer Tech 101 solution. I fiquered that all was ok but I did not really check everything. So I went ahead and checked ALL my connections. Especially the sata connector on My SSD. Nothing
Happened different. Same boot hang Problem. So I said Let us change the Sata Cable to a Better quality cable. I did that and botta boom, Boota Bing. Problem solved. And my computer boots faster than Before. Thanks again I7 Baby and Tom's Harware. The Moral alwys double or even Triple Check connections. Also if you wnt a good buid do not rely on the OEM sata cables, even from Asus. Get some real good ones. P.S. I had them and should Have used them first.
