I have the GV-N770OC-4GD (Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 OC 4GB GDDR5 Windforce 3X) GPU. I will get the I7 3770K. But as soon as this happens i will stay with the I3 2120. I know it will bottleneck the GPU but will it harm the GPU or something like that?

Solution
the GPU will not be harmed by a slower processor.

I'm assuming that you want the 3770K because you have an LGA 1155 socket already? I wouldn't bother with the 3770K, a 3570K is better priced at this point and you won't notice that much of a difference in performance.
dont get 3770k get 4670k or 4770k on z87 or z97 chipset or if you already have the motherboard get 3570k in games you wont see any difference and save yourself $100 also what resolution you play at ? if its 1080p you dont need 4GB ram video card 2Gb will run it just the same
