I have Arctic Silver 5 paste and a Cooler Master Hyper EVO 212 what is the best way to apply the paste i see a lot of conflicting answers when i try to look it up.

Apply only a dot of thermal paste and you will be fine. Do not spread it, becausing spreading makes litle micro bubles of air and it decrease the performance of the thermal paste.
