Sup? my 1st build is this..

https://pcpartpicker.com/p/3vFjw

Hey, Gen here and i'm just gonna ask, if this build is good enough for gaming?

THe games that i'll play are:

Watch Dogs
BF4
Garry's Mod
Grand Theft Auto IV
Saints Row
Just cause 2
Tomb raider
the games today, the 2013-2014 epic games.

i'll be playing these games, well maybe more, but... I'll also use this desktop for some school stuff, some video editing, some people told me to like, change CPU but i'm comfortable with this, can also ask.... someone help me if you could please help pick the good, cheap network card, a CPU cooler, because i read some reviews about the AMD FX 6300 stock cpu cooler not good for high-things to do.
also, this is my monitor, im gonna get this monitor:

http://www.amazon.com/HP-W2072a-20-Inch-LED-lit-Monitor/dp/B0085H66NU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1400611275&sr=8-5&keywords=hp+monitor

i'm really strict to my budget i'm guessing this'll reach 600-780 USD... right? I'm also gonna ask, that monitor has a built in speakers... if I didn't buy any sound card for my desktop yet, will the Monitor do the job for me? also.. i'm just gonna use my headset till i get a good sound card. thanks guys.

Solution

They're all good. Just get a good brand, at a good price, and choose it.

Let's end this thread... if you have any other questions, for your question to be answered the best, just start a new thread. This is ridiculuos now.

its a nice "budget" build. you'll be able to play those games at medium-high graphics which is nice. for a CPU cooler i like Arctic Cooling, its bigger than the stock cooler and very budget friendly. really, as long as you dont plan on overclocking you should be in the clear with any cooler its just the stock one is pretty small.

heres your build with a CPU cooler and a network card. not sure what your budget is but its a/b/g/n (n being the newest) and 300mbs so its good for online streaming and gaming. best of luck!

The build you picked out will be fine. As long as you don't OC, you won't need an aftermarket cooler. But if you think you may want to OC the processor, grab a Cooler Master 212 EVO.
How much are you paying for the monitor? Less than this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176254

If you're in an area with spotty wifi, find an adapter with a removable antennae that you can position for the best reception. I've used and sold PCs with this inexpensive N band adapter. With its 8' cable, you can get a strong signal simply by locating it where you like:

So many times the little stubby antennas that stick out the back of the case are in a poor signal area.

i dont quite understand; the cpu cooler has nothing to do with how much RAM you put in...8GB is a great amount though. no need for a wired card as the motherboard comes with an Ethernet port. as far as case fans the case should already come with at least 1 case fan. additional fans are optional but is something to think about because it will keep the computer cooler

What "things"? The USB wifi adapter? Just plug it into a USB port and run the included mini DVD to install its driver.

Ohh, I see, the motherboard comes with a Ethernet port right? Wow I didn't know! Also... The case of fans, I still don't get it, when I buy the case, will the fan cases be there already? Also.. Can you guys help me pick my OS? Some people say.. No go for windows 7 , some say ; no windows 8 is better.. Sorry for bad english

oh so you don't have to like google and go download the drivers or anything?

No. It comes with everything you need to get it working.
But if you can run an Ethernet cable from the router to your PC, use the built-in LAN adapter.

any case should at least come with one fan already installed. with operating systems it is heavily opinionated...i prefer windows 7 over 8. have you used 7 or 8 before??? or even XP or Vista by chance? if you've used XP or Vista i recommend 7 because its basically an exact copy just "lighter" and much better

bizzar, i heard some really really bad news about that cpu cooler, do u mind helping me find a good one like Cooler Master 212 EVO. the one that clutch said, I don't really like to blow up my first desktop cpu :/ dat artic cooling really... is bad... from the reviews, clutch, oh, i see, isn't there another way like putting it in a flash drive or sumthing?

Yes, you can get it free as a ISO file, but you still need a license to keep using it* after the 30 day trial. Do you have a COA w/product
key?

* you can continue to use it, but it will only be a subset of the features it normally would have. And of course, no updates.

erm, COA, idk, might just buy a OS then, btw, can you help me pick a cooler like the one that you suggested? the EVO cooler 12 thing? the cooler that bizzar told me really had bad bad reviews.. I wanna make sure.. is this cooler, that you suggested.. is this compatible with my cpu in the build or not?

Don't buy an AMD CPU. It might seem like a good deal at first glance, but Intel beats AMD at every price point. CTurbo's build above is phenomenal and will outperform the AMD build by miles.

AMD's arcitecture is years behind Intel. The use double the electricity while delivering far lower thread performance. Games all run faster on Intel.

Hope that helps!

what makes AMD cpu's suck so bad?
