AMD FX 8350 much louder than my last CPU. Why?

I just replaced my AMD Phenom II X2 565 with an AMD FX 8350. I haven't overclocked my computer, it's still running at 4ghz. I have 3 large fans inside my chassis, just as I did with my last CPU. I'm also only using the stock cooler for the CPU, but that wasn't a problem with my last CPU, so why is this one so much louder?

CPU's don't make noise. Very little, at least.

It runs hotter, significantly. The fans are working harder to maintain the temperature.

Because the dinky stock cooler is working its butt off trying to cool that sucker.

The FX-8350 runs hotter and has a worse stock cooler than the Phenom IIs did. The cooler is louder.

I normally toss the stock coolers away (both Intel and AMD) they aren't very effective and generally rather on the loud side

If I don't overclock my CPU is it still likely to overheat with a Stock cooler?

No, it shouldn't overheat.
It'll just get loud stopping it from overheating.
