I personally rarely use HDMI ports. If there is a DVI, I always use that.

I seriously doubt you will notice any difference at all going from VGA to HDMI.
  2. HDMI is much better then VGA.
It's like an HD LCD TV vs an old tube TV.
  3. Cool...thanks alot man....i will use the 1080p vga then.........if i buy a high graded vga cable, will there be a difference aswell
  4. lol, never buy "premium cables"

    Noooo.

DVI and HDMI are both digital - they are both 100% perfect quality.

VGA is analog. It's extremely blurry by comparison. I switched from VGA to digital [HDMI/DVI] a couple years ago and there was a very noticeable difference in quality.

lol.....i doubt its that bad, besides its the only monitor available for me..i used a aoc e966swn before and it was a 18.5 inch 720 p monitor and it looked good.........since this is 1080p, i wanted to know if it would differ.
  7. I think it depends on the monitor. I mean, hell I worked on VGA monitors for years before DVI was available...

Well, yeah. I didn't notice much of a difference from VGA to HDMI/DVI just writing random papers for college and whatnot. But there's a large, immediately noticeable difference in games.
  9. Thanks for the help guys.....i really appreciated the fast respnses

No, it's not as big of a difference as a CRT screen versus an LCD screen. But it's still quite noticeable. I don't know what connection type you use now, but I would rather play at 720p on DVI or HDMI than I would 1080p on VGA (partially because of the difference in performance, but still...).

Having said that, if you're on VGA 720p right now, and you switch to VGA 1080p, there will still be a large improvement in image quality.

I can only imagine what part of the world this is...
