Overclocking is not worth it. I would go with the first build and save the money or go with the first build and upgrade to a GTX770 in place of the 270x.


An i5 4570 + H87 + GTX770 would be WAY better than an i5 4670k + Z97 + R9 270x


if you have a micro center nearby it would cost $189 to get the 4670k and motherboard combo with cpu you get $30 additional off so would cost the same

 


Microcenter isn't everywhere and it is personally much more easier just to buy it online all at once.
 


yes if you have extra $ but me personally i would drive even 30 miles to save $130
