I hate to ask, but for the life of me I can't find a solution to this problem.

Problem: Realtek keeps popping up every minute saying I plugged my speakers in.
2nd Problem: If I disable the pop ups, instead it mutes my audio for a few seconds everytime a Pop up would of happened. I can't win!
3rd problem: On board wifi isn't working.
System: On board audio, mobo Gigabyte H87N-wifi. Windows 8.1

I tried uninstalling realtek and updating it several times.
No luck turning the manager off either.

Please help :(

Solution
It sounds like you have an intermittent connection. The pop-up keeps coming up because it's actually detecting the speakers being repeatedly plugged/unplugged. Hence your intermittent sound.

A couple things you can try:

Try a different set of speakers/headphones. See if that helps. If that fixes your problem, something is screwy about the wiring in your current speaker.

Reset the board BIOS (make sure it's up to date). It's possible that your BIOS is in a inconsistent state causing issues with your WIFI and Audio

If neither works, it may be time to consider RMAing the board with Gigabyte :(.
