I recently purchased the sound card listed in the title. The problem is the driver can't be istalled because 1. It says PCI to PCI bridge not downloaded (already downloaded latest software updates) 2. Whenever I try to update the driver on the hardware page I always get the "can't download drive because access denied" can anyone help me fix my problem? if i can't seem to find a solution I will most likely end up returning the sound card.

Hi Dwarri
try installing this
http://www.driverscape.com/download/pci-standard-pci-to...
then try your drivers

Thanks but I have already tried installing that but didn't use it because I need to pay $20 in order to use the tool. Also, It appears to say I have many undownloaded drivers when I know for a fact they were all downloaded and updated

hmm , your sondcard drivers should install fine perhaps there is a problem with the card , i have installed that card many times without an issue such as the one you describe

I already uninstalled the onboard sound driver (Realtek HD audio driver) and the only driver left is the Sound blaster one. So if the problem is the sound card itself, the best solution would be for me to return it?

Is there anyway you can try the card on another PC ?
if not you may have to RMA it

one last thing to try , perhaps try to update/reinstall your chipset drivers for your motherboard and try again to install card drivers

ok now i'm confused. I uninstalled the driver that came with the cd, and website etc. reinstalled realtek hd audio driver. then when I rebooted and checked the sound and game drivers it says the soundblast is working but it doesn't say theres a driver with it. I'm wondering how that works. and another thing Is i have sound coming from the mobo outlets but whenever I plug anything into the soundcard outlets nothing works. I'm wondering if the soundcard is working but I have to plug my outlets into the mobo or if i have to plug it directly into the soundcard.

http://puu.sh/8Z0jo.png http://puu.sh/8Z0l4.png It doesn't say I am but there is an unknown
device but whenever I press update driver for the unknown device it says the device is already updated (http://puu.sh/8Z0qM.png). I am confused because I uninstalled the drivers from the soundcard. my question is when the soundcard is installed is it supposed to say sound blaster audio controller or sound blaster audigy fx?

also, is there a way I can check if the soundcard is functioning properly other than it saying it's installed? I want to be able to be sure it's in use other than saying it's in use and but in reality just taking space in my tower.

ok try this , put the install cd in the drive for your audigy , on the yellow missing driver in device manager
right click on it / update driver software , select location CD and see if it picks up the missing driver off the cd
