Hey! I would like to upgrade my PC from Fx 6300 to Fx 8350 or Fx 9590 if my mothersboard allows me. Mothersboar - Sabertooth 990fx r2.0

First thing i would like to know , will i get much more performance when upgrading from fx 6300 to fx 8350 or fx 9590? I do play bf4 most , but i would like to play watchdogs too , will i see big differences? Im running at 8GB of ram and r9 270x

Then i would also want to know will my motherboard support fx 9590 at it best and without any risk ? I mean will i loose some perfomance ?

Also is it big difference between fx 9590 and fx 8350 when overclocked ?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
We definitely suggest the 8350 over the 9590. However, the 8320 is almost identical to the 8350. Only difference is at stock. Once overclocked they perform like 4.6GHz vs 4.7GHz. With the money saved invest in a really good cooler from Noctua (air) or Corsair (water).

You could sell off the 270x and get a 770 or even 780. However, I'd start with swapping out the CPU and see how that goes.

The 9590 is just a binned 8350 that they decided to clock higher and throw more voltage at. Most 8350 chips can easily clock to 4.5 Ghz or higher with proper cooling and voltage. Your board will support both.

Alright , seems good.

But will i get huge fps boost when upgrading from fx 6300 to 8350? Currently im playing all new games like BF4 and Assassins Creed Black Flag and im getting fps drop down to 45 when in open areas. Will 8350 improve this ?

BF4 is will be a big boost. ACBF isn't really a CPU limited game. It runs on the Xbox360 and PS3. Watch Dogs and future games like GTA V will really push CPU's. Get a newer CPU and later you can add another 270X to give yourself another boost.

I can't answer how much getting a 8320 will improve over a 6300 but since you have a great mobo I'd invest in a better cooler to really push the 8320.

Your PSU is plenty for overclocking the 83xx and run anything up to a single 780 or maybe even a 780ti or 290.

With that said, the biggest way to boost games is to improve the GPU. A 270x is great but there is better.

To be honest I bet you will see only a small boost in fps. You have a great overclocking board. You paired it with a budget cpu cooler. If you get an eight core you will need a better cpu cooler to get a nice overclock.

So you guys think that i should take 8350 over 9590 even if i dont care about price? Also in future i will be upgrading my gpu. I was wondering should i take one more r9 270x because i already have one or just trow away my old r9 270x and buy gtx 770?

The 9590 does give a slight edge to the 8350 but we are talking 77fps vs 75fps. Also the 9590 consumes a 110W more than the 8350. Ohh and the heat. yikes. The 9590 was a dud and AMD needs to get back in the high end game.

about the 9590...."This thing is like having a miniature nuclear reactor strapped to your motherboard; it will thoroughly overwhelm mid-tier heatsinks and AIO water coolers alike"

Alright , ive decided i will buy FX 8350! I belive i will get some performance boost and be able to render faster and record gameplays without huge fps drop. Im plaining to buy gtx 780 in the future.

Good choices. Just make sure you have a good cooler in hopes you got a good chip.
