wd sata 3 500gb hdd
coolermaster 400w psu??

Solution

Yeah, that's a pretty balanced config, no major bottlenecks there.

Yes, you should be able to play everything @ 1080p with no problems whatsoever.

Also, if you've got the money, I recommend getting 8GB of RAM in a 2x4GB kit. You can of course get more RAM later if that exceeds your budget, but be sure to get identical sticks; You may run into some problems if you get different sticks. If you get only 4GB, be sure to get a single stick as your motherboard only supports 2 sticks (this would make upgrading much easier).

There are threads like that for all the GPUs out there. Almost all cards work well, but nobody starts a thread or posts about how well their card is doing, that's why I wouldn't be startled about a few people having problems with a certain piece of hardware.

It's not a few people having problems. Others that have problems like these usually gets solved by doing something.

Well that's strange indeed... Sorry, I don't have the time to read through the entire thing ATM, but couldn't you just RMA the card if something like that happens?

Then there's no need to worry about running out of DIMM slots.
