Little help please.
I'm not that good with computers but just don't want to get ripped off by dodgy computer shops.
I have Acer Aspire M3-581tg (i7) with dead motherboard. Took it to few shops and they said it beyound repair. I asked Acer UK for replacment motherboard ,,, wooooooooooooow £850 for motherboard only.... no way.
My question is, Can i buy any motherboard for above mention laptop regardsless for i7 processor and memory as I can get my i7 processor and memory installed on new motherboard.
Any cheap solution please.

Thanks.

Wouldn't be the graphics card because there should still be power flowing through the machine turning on the light.
I cant guarantee it but it could also be the DC plug as this would cause no power to enter the machine.
They're also pretty cheap.

If not then its the power distribution board, which unfortunately is in the motherboard and not separate meaning that you would have to replace it.
Hope this helps!

What's your problem with the computer?
As it may not actually be a "Dead" motherboard.
Also it is possible to replace your motherboard yourself but you will have to be careful as laptops have loads of wires running between the different boards so be careful not to nudge any of them.
Hope this helps!
P.S I would recommend to also wear a Anti static wrist band to prevent any shocks to the components.
If you need any more help, feel free to ask.

If it was DC plug or jack the laptop repair shop would have fixed it as I left my laptop with them for 2 days.
I asked them same but they said it's not power problem it's motherboard.

So I'm now left with the only option to change it or I should say get it changed.
Any idea where can i buy a cheap motherboard for my Acer Aspire M3-581tg.
Or any reliable repair shop I can send my laptop to get it fixed?
One more thing, do motherboard come with processor or without processor (as I already have an i7 processor
with dead board)?

Thanks for you help.
