Vga and cpu combination

hey guys, i'm a complete starter here and i know almost nothing about gaming desktops..
I want to build a gaming pc,not a really strong one,and i was wondering if there would be any problem by combining the r9 series with an intel cpu (im thinking about i5 4670 and r9 270x) ??

There will be no problems.

Just a little advice, it is always better investing into a GPU than a CPU when it comes to gaming. The stronger the card, the better the performance. This is not the case with a CPU.

What about getting an AMD cpu and a vga AMD R9 series? is there any chance i might get better perfomance by picking the same brand>?
