So I've had this gaming pc for 1,5 years and it didn't make a sound until 4 months ago or so, from that day the cpu cooler has been doing so much noise.

Everytime I boot up my pc the cpu cooler starts to sound very loud(ly?) for 5-10 minutes and then it gets quiet until I start playing games. My idle temperatures on the cpu doesn't go under 40C and when I'm playing Dota 2 the temperatures are at 67-75C~.

Before this was standard for me I used to play Dota 2 with a completely silent pc (dont know the temperatures but I know that my cooler used to be at 700~rpm and now it's at 2+k~). I just find all of this to be really weird since it all used to be ok. Also I cleaned my pc to see if that would stop the problem but it only did for 2-3 days then it all began again.

How can I make my pc more quiet/colder? Do I have to get a new cooler? Or maybe a new CPU?

Here are my specs: | 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm SATA 6Gbit/s | Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H ATX | SSD 180GB Intel 520 OEM | Intel Core i5 3570K 3,4Ghz (Ivy Bridge) | ASUS GeForce GTX 680 4096MB DirectCUII | Cooler Master HAF X | Silverstone Strider 750W Silent 80+ Gold | Antec KÜHLER H2O 920 | Windows 8.1 Pro |

Thanks for the help in advance.

Okay I'll take a look at the screws later tonight.

Let us know what you find. We will stay with you and help solve the problem.

The pump on your cooling system is going out. This is causing your CPU to heat up and the fan responds by cranking up the fan RPM.

How old is the cooler? Is it still within Antec's 3 yr. warranty? If so, talk to Antec about an RMA.
