If you start off with 4GB RAM it gives you more money to spend on the video card. You can always add another 4GB later. I threw in a much better motherboard too.

I would like to play Battlefield 3 and Outlast on 1080p in a perfect world, but I would be ok with 720p

I remember you helped me before. You really like the GTX 750 Ti don't you? :p
I want to have 8GB of RAM because sometimes I like to be on a skype call while I'm playing and also to have chrome open. If that doesn't require RAM though, please tell me :)
Maybe this build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/FreakinJoel/saved/4MPG

Thank you, but I would prefer to have a Quad Core CPU with at least 3Ghz

tha amd athlon is a dual core, 4 threads so, it means a dual core with extra two cores which won't give any benefir in gaming and the clock isn't importanta, for gaming the most important thing is the ALPU (Arthimitic Logic processing unit)

3ghz means very little. The Athlon 750k is rated at 3.4ghz/4.0ghz and the i5 4430 is rated at 3.0ghz/3.2ghz, but the i5 is almost twice as powerful. If Intel made a quad core 2.4ghz cpu, it would perform about the same as the Athlon.

The Athlon x4 750k IS a quad core cpu. 4 cores with 4 threads.

4 cores with 4 threads but each to cores share one ALPU (Arithmetic Logic Processing Unit) which is the most important thing for gaming, this gives the smae idea as a hyper-threaded dual core from intel as hyper-threading means that each ALPU has two cores on it.
