USB Over current Detected, New Build

I just finished building my PC yesterday however whenever I switch it on it says that USB over current is detected and it will shut down after 15 secs. I have tried removing the motherboard from the case, checking the USB pins and trying it again however the same message pops up. The only way that I can find to fix this is by clearing CMOS however once I turn the PC off again this problem reoccurs the next time I switch it on. I don't want to have to do this every time I use my PC and I don't want to load an OS yet until it works. I also have no USB devices connected at all to the motherboard and it wouldn't even work if I disconnected the USB headers connecting the motherboard to the case. Any suggestions would be appreciated before I replace the motherboard next week!!

Motherboard: MSI Z87i gaming AC
CPU: Intel 4670k
Ram: 1866mhz 8Gb
Cooler: Corsair H80
PSU: Corsair CX600M

Thank-you in advance to anyone who can help!!

More about usb current detected build
  1. Seems to me like a power surge.
They tend to originate from the PSU sending too many watts to the motherboard.
Have you got another PSU you can test?

Yeah I just tried it with a different psu which has a four pin connector, no success and exactly the same problem :(
