Hi to all.

Have been experiencing the following issue for sometime now and with different graphics hardware. After lots of time trying to get the issue identified, I am now looking for some help.

I am currently running a Nvidia GT 610 card on a Windows 7 64bit system. My main monitor is an AOC TFT1780 which connects via DVI-I. My secondary "monitor" is a Finlux 42" HD TV which connects to the card via HDMI.

Every so often, and only when connected to the secondary monitor, a 'click' comes over the PC speakers (connected directly to the PC) and exactly at the same time, lasting for about 1-2 seconds, we get a BSOD.

Have tried everything. Cannot identify why this is happening, but have recently noticed, it happens more often when our tumble dryer in the kitchen is running and changes drum direction (drum stops, PC speakers 'click' and BSOD on 2nd monitor).

It's very strange........

Any ideas or suggestions at things to look at would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have a household electrical problem.
The dryer is perhaps drawing extra current during the rotation change.
Not only is the secondary TV connected to the graphics card, but it is also plugged in to the household circuit.

See if you can't put the pc on a different circuit.
Or, the TV on a different circuit.
Or... buy a small UPS that can condition the power and let you ride through power disruptions.
