Hello all, please excuse me if I'm not as technically minded as the rest of you. I've came across a small problem with my laptop, one that has only ended up worse as I've tried to fix it.

I removed the back from my laptop so I could clear any dust inside. While I was doing this, I accidentally broke one of the fan tips (?) from my graphics card fan. As I was taking the broken tip out, being the smart person I am, I then broke another!

So, my graphics card has 2 fan tips missing, and it's making this loud and constant vibration, though everything works perfectly apart from that.

My laptop is a Lenovo IdeaPad Z570 and the card is a Nvidia Geforce 520m, I believe. Unfortunately as far as I am aware, I cannot replace the actual card inside my laptop. Is there anything I can do? While it works fine, I have a feeling this isn't going to continue.

Check ebay for a new fan assembly. Shouldn't cost much. I'm not familiar with that setup, but you probably just need to unscrew the fan from the heatsink. You shouldn't even need to worry about thermal paste.
