I have this pc http://www.amazon.co.uk/FX-6300-Gaming-Bulldozer-OVERCLOCKED-pre-installed/dp/B00B26EDBI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid, and I am wondering if I upgrade the gpu to a gigabyte r9 280 if the power supply will be able to handle it? and if there is a better card for around the £200 mark feel free to tell me:)

it would be better to get a new power supply. The one that came with your pc is most likely too weak. But check the amps on the 12V rails. Also what brand and model is the power supply?
