1 HDD would take way more power than 2 SSD's.
Yes the ssd's last longer than hdd's some last 1 000 000 hours some 1 500 000 or even 2 000 000 MTBF (mean time between failures)
anyway it will probably live long enough that you would want an upgrade anyway.
Samsungs ssd's are the most reliable and lasts the longest.
