I just installed an MSI GTX 780ti but I can't do anything outside of safe mode. After installing drivers, I will get 10-15 seconds of display until it turns black. My PSU is Rosewill CAPSTONE-750 750W 80 Plus GOLD. I've done the following already:

-Reformatted
-Tried both PCI slots
-Disabled and Enabled onboard graphics
-Tried HDMI, Displayport, and DVI
-Updated motherboard to latest BIOS (z77x-UD3H to F18)

It feels like I've done everything. I'm posting here because MSI tech support isn't open on weekends.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

edit: turns out it's actually restarting the PC.

If I have a modular PSU, is it alright if one module is powering the entire card? To clarify, the module has two 6 + 2 pins.

funny because my GTX 770 uses a 8pin as-well as a 6 pin connector and the GTX 770 is less power hungry than the 780ti soo.. I find it really weird your only powering it with an 8pin cable(6+2 pin). You sure every power slot is connected on the GPU?

P.S did you install the drivers before installing the GPU physically or after? if after were you able to go windows bla bla and then install the drivers?

I did it after.

I'm powering the card using a 6+2pin and a 6 pin all on the same module.

It's the same cable coming from the PSU. It's a PCI cable that plugs into the PSU. It splits into two separate 6+2.

If it helps, here is the .dmp file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/aw1nngzgcphaz0a/05251...

This is my power supply: http://www.rosewill.com/products/1806/ProductDetail_Spe...

My graphics card came with these two adapters:

I've tried using the 6 to 8 pin adapter, but that only seems like a way to get an 8pin if the PSU doesn't.

Lastly, my motherboard is Z77X-UD3H flashed to the latest BIOS. I've played with so many settings in the BIOS and nothing seems to help (e.g. memory XMS, pci 16 vs 8, etc)

At this point I'm pretty much defeated, which is a first. I'm about ready to conclude that the card needs to be returned.

Anyone else have any other input?
