Forgive me if this is in the wrong section, but my knowledge with PC's is limited and I don't actually know what exactly is causing this issue, so here we go.
Two months ago my battery deteriorated to the point where it told me that I can no longer run my laptop at it's max power, rather than buying a new battery to act as a solution to this I decided to run my laptop directly from the power cord and took the battery out of the computer.
This restored the amount of volts going through my pc to an approximation of 1.8, from its low 0.7 with the bad battery.
Now today I ran into a new problem, Withthe battery still not in my laptop and being directly connected with my power cord, my volts have once again limited themselves down to 0.7
I spent hours trying to fix the issue with no success. Is getting a new battery the final option? Is there any other solutions to make my computer run more volts, could this be just some safe default limitation and can it be easily changed through settings throughout the BIOS for example?
