Hi, I am looking to upgrade my GPU to a nvidia 780 ti or a radeon r9 290. My question is, at my current processor, will it be worth the extra $200 for the 780 ti plus the PSU, or should i just get the 290. If I get the 780 ti, i don't want to have it "bottle necked" to the point where i should just get a 290 or 290x regardless. My prospective game to play at the moment is Watch Dogs, and i want to try to run the game on ultra or high at 60 fps. I'll appreciate any suggestions that you guys can give me. Thanks!

Solution
Hmm, bottlenecking might be an issue, probably not a big problem. You can always play around with the settings to eliminate as much of the bottleneck as possible.
#1: Watch Dogs is a showcase for the partnership between Nvidia and Ubisoft. It will most definitely perform better on the 780 Ti and will offer graphics settings exclusive to Nvidia cards (TXAA, HBAO+).

#2: You would need to state what your current processor is before anyone can tell whether there might be some potential bottlenecking.
