I would be careful with that PSU. Without knowing what model is it. I guess that one was preinstalled in case?

Problem is that not all 500W psu are equal. It's not only about total power but also how much fo that power can they provide at certain voltage. 12V is what GPU need and some lower quality can barely provide half of their advertised W on 12V which may not be enough for some higher GPU.

If you could tell us what GPU you have in mind it may give us better idea. Also if you could try to get more info about PSU or post for example image of it, it may help too.

That doesn't actually tell us what your specific PSU is. What is the manufacturer name? I've you can't find the manufacturer name on the PSU, then I recommend buying a new PSU before a serious video card.

If I read it correctly on that +12V is 20A right? That mean 240W it can deliver on 12V line.
Hd 6450 is not high consumption so it should be able to handle it. By psu calculator I use PSU but should be able to handle it and your whole system should go about 15A on 12V line (or less depending on what CPU you got).

So by spec on that PSU it should handle your system with HD6450.
But depending on age of that PSU you may strongly consider getting some new budget PSU.
