I deside to overclock my intel q9400 from 2.66ghz to at least 3.0ghz.
i managed to overclock to 2.84ghz (multiplier x8 *bus speed 355) with stable 56c at 100% usage with prime95 stress test,
but whenever i try more then like 360 bus speed ,im getting warning message at start up "warning overclock fail"

pc specs:
mb: biostar g41d3c v.7x
psu: 600W lc power
cpufan: cooler master blizzard t2

In my opinion you should just reset your cmos and don't overclock with that mb. It is likely that the option isn't even there. That is a fairly old mobo with lots of limitations. Plus, .5ghz will not increase your cpu's performance significantly.
