Hello i have a fx8350 cpu (not overclocked) with the corsair h80i on it, the problem is that when i am in idle the temps (in balanced power plan and all fan settings) between 20-50C (yeah 20-50C), and ALWAYS the "H80i Temp" is higher than the CPU's one, for example now i have 30C CPU temp and 42C H80i Temp. While running a game a get about 77-79C (sometimes 80-81C) CPU Temp and 72-75C H80i Temp... i am pretty sure i i have mounted it good i renewed the thermal paste to be sure it is not the stock thermal paste's problem (used Arctic Silver 5) and i use the push and pull method from inside the case (i have 2 intake 120mm fans), if someone can help me please let me know,

Thanks!

I installed an other cooler (zalman cnps5x performa 15 euros cost) and i have 60-67C while playing CoD Ghosts full settings... that's 15-23C less than with the Corsair H80i so i don't think it is CPU's problem...

60-67c is still really high for gaming. When you try your new h80i post your temps.

Ok so here it is. I RMA my Corsair and today i got a new one from the shop. My temps now are 20 idle and 39 at 100% load after 10 minuites with prime 95. I think those temps are pretty awesome. I use intake from my case and have 1 front and 1 side fans!

20 idle, 39 load is amazing. Enjoy your rig :).

Hi, Axelakos

You said you have two fans, one on the side and one on the front, I'm getting my h80i today and was planning on mount it as intake in the rear, but the other two fans are also on intake. How do you have your fans setup?
