How can I connect the motherboard 4 pin connector with a 8 pin connector from the cpu?

The 8-pins connector from the PSU is actually two 4-pins connectors - they separate into two. Use either half and plug into the motherboard for CPU power. It will go in only one way (orientation).

You can plug the 4-pin CPU power cable in the end of the 8- pin CPU power connector.
You can also use an 4-pin to 8-pin adapter.

Or, better yet use an 8-pin power cable.
