Is GTX770 SLI Worth It?

I am building a computer soon. I have a 24" Dell U2414H 1920 x 1080p. I want to get either a GTX 770 or GTX 770s in SLI. Is the SLI worth it? I have the money for it. I currently only use 1 monitor, but I may get a 19" Dell P1913 for just internet research in the future. But will I max out Crysis 3, Minecraft, Metro:LL, Grid 2, Battlefield 4, etc at 1920x1080p with anti-aliasing? Is SLI worth it?

Nope, not for 1080p. I'd suggest getting a 780/ti if you want to max out games fully with AA and 1080p. Sling/CFing doesn't scale well at low resolutions(1080p) so the fps difference is very small but as resolution increases(2k,4k) the differences becomes larger. I have a GTX 770 myself and happily max out the settings on games, I rarely use AA because it's hard to recognize the difference at 1080p. On some occassion I will use 2x AA but no higher as it doesn't seem worth it over the fps drop, so you might want to take that into a ccount

How about a single 780 or even 780 Ti. You're only limited to 2GB vram on 770's unless you get the 4GB version which are more expensive, and would probably put you over $800. I would look at a 780.

If you already had one gtx 770, then its worth getting another.

For the price of 2 x 770's (2 x $310) you could get a gtx 780 ($450) and keep the change. But 2 x 770's perform about 20% better than a 780.

For a single monitor at 1080p all you need is the (Asus) 780 to max out those games - http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_780_Direct_Cu_II_OC/13.html

For 1440p or multiple monitors, get a (Sapphire) R9 290.

For 4k get xfire 290's
