Allllllright! Here I am again asking, you, the community, for your assistance. This build is nothing short of a train wreck, as it seems, with the problems I've been facing. So, as you may have seem before, I dealt with a motherboard issue, which I'm proud to say is now resolved (after jumping through numerous hoops...
...I just bought a new ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO.
ANYWAY. My problem I face, now, is: I've installed Windows 7 x64 bit properly via booting through the CD drive first (blah blah blah) well, nonetheless, it's installed. I started experiencing BSODs when I improperly installed my graphics card BEFORE downloading any drivers and didn't download any of the drivers for the graphics card. Idiot, I know, dumb move on my part... but it's been resolved via a fresh windows installation. So now I'm left with this situation. I went and installed the drivers for everything (mobo, windows update, other misc. drivers, etc.) BUT some, or even most, of my Windows Updates are failing to install. I started out with 160 with the brand new installation. I install 10 at a time, no more no less. Some install, some do not. So there's that. my graphics card is not currently installed, no drivers, nothing. The code I am faced with is:

STOP: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFFA80090C5028, 0x00000000BF80000000000000000124)

I do realize and am well aware that this is typically a hardware issue. But as I've read, it usually deals with either the RAM and or the CPU temp. BUT I have a total of 7 fans? Including the CPU fan (stock CPU fan with the pre-installed thermal compound) So, I mean, how? lol. Otherwise I believe I ran a test on the RAM before and it came out fine, although I cannot remember which test I had ran...

I will post pictures upon request. You name it and I'll post it for you. I'm not a genius nor am I dumb, but some assistance would be great. I do most of this stuff at work (as a Manufacturing Technician) buuuuut never face any of these issues there so.. haha.
Thanks!

Bump-
So unfortunately it will not boot via the Windows 7 CD even if I choose to launch from the disk first. Remember, I do have the HDD and one stick of ram disconnected.

The OS is on the SSD, using the HDD as cache etc. So after I ran the RAM test I decided to just clean boot the system, again, because not all of windows updates have been installing correctly. So I clean booted, and tried doing 3 windows updates at a time instead of originally 5, thinking I was overloading the system.

Still failures.
Still blue screening.

I feel like I'm SOL.

I'm like, 99.8% positive because everything boots/works/etc. The only problem I face with the BSOD is under heavy workload, so it seems. If you run, for instance, Minecraft for about 3 minutes you will see the BSOD. Or if trying to download certain Windows Updates: BSOD. And that's another thing, still don't know why some windows updates are successful whereas some are not. Most of the failures are deriving from security updates, too. Some are dabbling in others.

I actually currently don't have any GPU hooked up. I've just been running off of the on board graphics so it's less drivers I have to root out for problems. I heard somewhere it could be a voltage issue? But I have nothing OCed yet, just on auto settings. Still wouldn't explain why the windows updates aren't downloading..
