Well, 60 hz 4k, i believe the samsung is the cheapest, sadly it is not released in europe yet :/
I do believe AOC is releasing a 4k monitor, very close in price, so might wait for that if price is everything.
i have heard 5ms max for gaming, but i do not have any experience so take it with a grain of salt.
Yes there is a big difference between 1440p and 4k
4k - 8294400 pixels and
1440p - 3686400 pixels. 4k is more than twice as many pixels as 1440p.
To your earlier post - That was the samsung monitor i was talking about - tn though pretty good picture, and a nice look. But you cant twist it as much because of the stand. If i had a rig that could run 4k right now, i would buy that screen.
And what sort of FPS would a single radeon R9 290 get on 4K medium crysis 3?
My guess - 60fps or so. 4k is very intensive, and even though it is high end, crysis is very demanding. BF4 Ultra at 4k/1080p 200% res scaling is about 35 fps.

Don't understand why people want to try and do 4k on the cheap. Spend the $$ on a lower rez monitor with really great color reproduction. Even the best setups barely push 1440p on ultra with mods and 60fps minimum. For 4k you need 4+ gb of vram per card. And 2x6gb 780s isn't going to handle 4k ultra 60fps. Even if it could no HDMI 2.0 or h.265. 4k is 1-2 years off.
Do not get 4k. It is not worth it for a monitor. Just get 2560x1440 or 2580x1600p. And do not get the Dell 4k monitor, it is horrible. Plus, any 30Hz monitor is going to be horrible. But, I don't even think that you could get 30fps. R9 295x cards only get about 45fps on 4k. Heck, in Metro last light you cant even get 30fps on that dual card.
I think 4k is great for prosumers, not consumers. Could be used for movie or rendering which is epic. I think 4k gaming is far from the standard, but for everything else, the only downside is money.
