Maybe not "every" game, but it should be able to play every game at either ultra/very high settings. However, it depends on what CPU you have as well.

You might have to drop some games to medium. Some games demand powerful quad cores, and games are starting to touch 8 cores. Even though the i3 does have hyperthreading thus giving it 2 cores able to 2 things at once, there is a fairly wide difference between an i5 (4 physical cores; 1 task each) and an i3 (2 physical, 4 logical).

Yeah I'd say you'd be fine except newer games that use 4 cores like bf3 or bf4 just because your dual core cpu

In those games the i3 would indeed bottleneck the Gtx 660

The GTX 660 is a great card for gaming and will max out most games but you need to upgrade your CPU or it wont be able to fed the 660 (This is called bottlenecking)

If you really have a tight budget you can keep the i3 it is not extremely bad (though not good enough for the newest games).
If it matters to you a lot then you need to spend another $180 to upgrade your CPU.
