I have built an adapter for my old wired phone, connecting it to
soundcard using the handset rj9 connector.
That works, I can play music and it passes through the phone.
Confirmed by using the "Listen to this device" through an
other sound card, that one is USB.

Well, now I want to connect that phone to a DECT base using RJ11.
I have checked a couple of guides but they are conflicting.
Both says to connect a DC power supply and resistor to modify the cable,
One guide says you should switch green and red wires, other guide
says that you should never do so. Confusing. But I built a circuit like so:

green----------- "+12VDC-" --- "350Ohm resistor" ---------- red
red ------------------------------------------------------------------ green

I dont hear anything on my DECT using this. I have tried changing power
polarity, and tried not to reverse the wires.

I want to: PC(VoIP)<--->soundcard<--->oldphone RJ9<--->oldphoneRJ11<-->DECT RJ11

Using the old phone only for its conversion circuitry RJ9<->RJ11.

Any ideas?
