if other things (like resolution ) remain the same which displays are more comfortable for eyes.
for example this laptop
http://
and this monitor
http://
have near about same resolution [(1920*1200) and 1920*1080], both are ips. but one is 10inch and other is 21.5. which will be less tiring for eyes.
please reply

Definitely the one with 21.5inch screen will be less tiring.
The smaller the screen size the more you have to focus on it and smaller will be text size which again is harmful for eyes.

But for a laptop, screen sizes between 15-18inch are generally the best

thanks for replying. i am planning to buy a laptop for studying but glossy hurts my eyes. though matte is a big relief but a little uneasiness remains. i have been suggested to go for IPS display with matte.
As laptops around 15in with IPS are few and out of my budget i am planing to go for 14 or 15.6 laptop (1366*768 matte) plus 21.5 (1920*1080) IPS. what do you say?

Get the laptop with 21.5 inch screen(due to higher resolution) if its big size is not cumbersome for you

IPS panel provides better viewing angles and more vivid colors than TFT panel and therefore are better for eyes
