So I have an old HDD in my computer, 300GB partitioned equally into 2. A while back it started performing a disc check on that HDD though it never did anything or effected me but now I am fairly worried as this contains my entire music collection and possibly maybe not so legally acquired videos.

Now it will not show up in my BIOS or on the "My Computer" tab, running Windows 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you need any more information just ask me.

Thanks in advance.

"A while back it started performing a dick check"

My doctor gave me one of those last week! (lol)

You have been very unwise in not bothering to back up the drive's contents to another location from day one.
I rather think it has failed - - too late for backups now anyway.

Oh wow, bit of an oversight with the spelling. I was afraid of that, I have most of my music on my Iphone and that's really all I want from my HDD but I can't even find a way to get it from my Iphone to my computer. Damn Apple.

Are you booting of that drive(is the partition missing), or is the entire hard drive not visible? Let's first figure out if this is a software or a hardware issue.

I am not booting from this HDD and neither of the two partitions appear.
