hi guys, i recently got a cm hyper 212 evo, but once i had installed it into my zalman z11 plus, i found that the top led fan was being obstructed by the heatsink, so i moved it to the closest to the front, top fan slot (this is difficult to explain) and changed it to intake , so that it would feed the cm hyper 212 evo with fresh air and then be exhausted through the back fan.
this also kinda means that the lower half of my case has its own intake (from the front) and is exhausted out the back by the gpu (which is also separating the case into two parts), and the top half has its own intake from the top and exhaust out the back
is this advised?
heat rises, so the top fan should be out-take, but i changed it to feed the cm hyper 212, and it means that it will be sucking in dust through the top, with no filter.....
so can anyone tell me if i should change it back, maybe change the rear fan to intake so the top fan would be exhaust or even should i just get/ make a filter myself?
thanks in advance

Solution
Just make sure you have a powerful rear exhaust fan bc if it isent exhausting the fresh air fast enough air will become trapped and that trapped air will begin to circulate in your case making everything hotter.

Typically, front, side and bottom fans are used as intakes while rear and top fans are used as exhaust. However, there is no rule that says all the locations MUST be used in this manner. Find whichever configuration works best for you (i.e.- gives you the lowest temperatures) and go with it. I always recommend having some type of filter, whether it's something bought from a store/online or a custom filter you build, on all intake fans.
