I built my current build less than a year ago, but I'm planning on upgrading soon. Currently I'm running an AMD apu 5800k, MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 motherboard, a Rosewill R363-M-BK case+PSU, and a 500gb hdd and 8gb ddr3 ram. However, I'm planning on getting a graphics card, specifically, the Radeon R9 270 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... . What I'm asking is, Can I run my APU just as a CPU and let the card do the GPU? If so, will there be any compatibility errors? and finally, Do I have enough power? I've tested it on a Power supply calculator and it says I have enough but I just want to double check.

Yes, you can do that. In your BIOS you can disable the APU and set it to PCI-E or AUTO.
