save another $20 and get a hd 7700/r7-250x; you don't want any card you could get new for $60

i'm choking on the idea a 610 is better then a 4550... but i'll roll with the idea. that said, we're talking about two gpus on that chart within 2 tiers of each other, by THG's own definition of those "tiers" it's unlikely the OP will see any significant improvement going from one to the other. or noticeable improvement at all.

frankly anything short of a 640/6670 shouldn't be advised for "gaming" purposes; and while both of those are close to $60, i repeat my previous suggestion and insist the OP save another $20 and get himself a r7-250x/hd 7770. that card is x2 the gaming card a 6670/640 is... and it's just $20 more.

:\

it will be an improvement over what you've got. but i really dislike the idea of you spending $60 for a card that a card $20 more can run rings around

Totally agree. The 6670 is not really advisable as it is a rebrand of a not very efficient/powerfull card: the 5670. I used to have one that was not really an upgrade to my old (broken) 9600GT...

Either you can find a used 7750 or 5750 that would be a real upgrade (if not 7770) or you go with GT640...

I also advise 7770 which sometimes you find dirt cheap...

Neither the 6570 nor 6670 are rebranded. The 5670 was never rebranded to any other gpu.

Right again k1114 I shall watch my step when I cross your path in the future, and the sword's point is right in front of my heart. But as an excuse the 6670 offers no significant upgrade against a 5670...
