Hi
I installed Windows 7 on my SSD to reduce boot times. I'm at about 23 seconds now. I know a lot of people who have it under 10 seconds. Some have told me that Windows 8 will reduce it further but from what I see only about 10 of those 23 seconds is loading Windows. The POST seems likes its taking far too long.
I'm using an ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard, with Windows 7 installed on a Samsung 840 250GB SSD in AHCI mode. I've updated the BIOS to the most recent.
Any ideas as to why the POST is taking too long ( if it is?) and anything else I can do to improve boot speeds?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
