Question about my internal HD

I just replaced my old drive with a new one but the old one now hangs on windows startup. I don't really need much from the old drive but there is a backup of my flash drive i put on the desktop of the old HD. Is it possible to access the file that is on the Desktop of that HD if I use a internal hd enclosure?

ya don't boot from the old drive, just access it like its a storage drive and just get your files that way

your new drive I assume is bootable with windows its on sata port 1 your optical is on 2 put your old drive on 3 boot to your new drive and when your at desktop go to computer and ti should show the 2 drives more than likely drive c and drive e then right click on the one that's your old drive [E] and open in mew window and there should be your files to get to.

I don't have it plugged in at all to be honest. I was just going to get an enclosure to access the files, but thanks for answering my question.

it was something to look at I'm using my old drive that way now on this new build to get to the files on it when I need one just copy from the old and paste to the new or drag it to the desktop
