i want to replace exsisting hard drive with an SSDD. and add windows 8. i had it running fine. i shut off the computer after i finished all installing and test ran the computer.but when i shut it off. the new drive was acting as if it was invisble, thus not lettin me install a new OS

Did you remove the HDD before installing Windows to the SSD? If not, you should. Install to the SSD first, then add the HDD after. Leaving the HDD in place will cause Windows to install some files to the HDD and you don't want that to happen.

Also, double check your power and data SATA cables to ensure they are firmly attached. They are very easy to dislodge and only have partially connected.
