hi I overclocked my phenom x4 9850 125w cpu 2 weeks back from 2.5ghz to 3ghz just by changing the mulitplier from 12.5 to 15 and tested it with some heavy load progaram which ran it at 100% for 30 minutes and computer was fine, temps everything seemed stable so ive been playing battlefiled 3 for a few weeks no problem had 1 or 2 times the game stoped responding wasnt sure if it was because of cpu or... so anyway i decided to try prime 95 and sure enough after 30 seconds of running my computer crashed so im assuming my oc isnt stable after all and im going to have to tinker with the voltages which is something im not to sure about becuase i dont even know my stock voltage, so if anyone can help me achieve a stable overclock or put there 2 cents in that would be greatly appreciated, thanks alot :)

Here's the specs on the Phenom 9850 BE: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Phenom%20X4%209850%20Black%20Edition%20-%20HD985ZXAJ4BGH%20%28HD985ZXAGHBOX%29.html
The vcore is 1.3 max. But it can go higher safely. I would take the vcore up .05v at a time not exceeding 1.5V. Sometimes all it takes is a tiny bit to make it stable. Here's the overclock club @ overclock.net. You can peruse the discussions and try some of the techniques.
